Total Views :108369

Here is a colorful bokeh scene I’ve created in Photoshop, you can use this idea to create your own colorful scenario such as dance floor, logo design or backgrounds. Some of the ideas used in this project is the use of brush dynamic, layer blending and reflection simulation.

Step 1

Create a gradient background like such, the dark area is where the floor and background merge, you can make the dark area as thick as you like or nothing at all if you do not want to show a break in the background and floor

Step 2

Create a cloud filter with light black and dark white, you don’t want the contrast to be too high or it will look unnatural. In the video I created a new layer and drew a small rectangle marquee and applied the cloud effect, than I use free transform to fill the entire picture. This is done so that the cloud pattern is larger, this is up to your own discretion. Set the blending mode to Overlay.

Step 3

Creating light streaks can be done by drawing a few straight parallel white bars next to each other. Use free transform (Ctrl/Cmd + T) and make the top more narrow, angle it the way you want and hit enter. I applied some Gaussian blur and erased the end tips so it fades into the picture.

Step 4

Create some bokeh (abstract out of focus lights) in the background by activating brush dynamic tool (f5) or click on the brush pallet on the side. Under brush tip shape, turn spacing to 1000%. Other dynamic – opacity – 100% . Scattering – scatter – 100% . Shape dynamic – shape jitter – 100%. Paint on a blank layer until you get the density you like. I painted on 2 different layers and make one of the layer less opaque so create depth.

Step 5

The next step is to make it colorful, either use a gradient with the color you want or paint it in manually with brush. Change this layer to Soft light blending mode.

Step 6

Now add your object, in my example I used a boots and I flipped a copy over for the reflection for the final touch.

Final

Here is what the final image look like. This was done pretty quickly but you should spend more time adjusting all the detail to your liking. If you decide to try this tutorial out I like to see what you’ve come up with using this idea. Post it down below or if you have any question or comments concerning this tutorial, let me know.

Here is a tutorial on how to create a electrifying text effects in photoshop.

Start by creating your text and ctrl+click this layer to select all visible pixel, than on a new layer expand the selection by about 10-20 percents and fill it in with grey.

Use a MEDIAN filter to connect the letters together but not too much, just enough so that the letters are still legible.

Now add a layer effect with a metallic bevel effect. Now merge the text and the grey filled layer together.

Apply an ocean ripple filter, and a second layer on the panel with glowing edge filter, this will give it a electricity feeling.

Use Color Range to select the brightest area and on a new layer fill it with white. Hide the original layer.

Now apply a layer effect with outer glow with the color you want.
